The Christmas present that wasn’t!

Now loyal fans of my blog pages, some of you will be wondering what happened to my insistence on homemade presents.

Well it did work. Grandchildren made the Christmas cake,  a game,  a chess board from plywood,  a fantastic stool etc. Grown ups came up with boxes of biscuits, wild bird feeder stations, oven mitts and the piece de resistance (once I get hold of a word I can’t let it drop) a really beautifully made hand tooled wallet and key holder.

Me, I am afraid I let the side down a bit. The desk calenders with my illustrations looked brilliant,  but the knitting – no  not one scarf! So it’s back to the giant crochet hook and better luck next year.
