The Weald Allotments celebrates it’s 100th birthday!

I don’t usually put an allotment posts on this page  they are all under the heading ‘for love of my allotment’ (please see the header) But since it was a special occasion, here we have Mr. Peter Ferris,  the site representative all dressed up – he is the one at the top in green.

There is the history of the allotment on display, brought to life by people who know all about it.

Willing supporters ran the stalls and Pat and Tony set up a lovely bug hunt with lots of enthusiastic followers.

Some amazing owls were on show and of course Professor Paul Perrin with Punch and Judy got an enthusiastic audience.

Well done all those who helped to make it a lovely day and the weather held out! Brilliant!

Please press the arrow at the centre of the film to see the highlights of the same show as the one performed on the Weald, but this one was filmed in Rottingdean.

Mr Punch would like to thank all the boys and girls who brought along goodies from their allotment for his supper!
