Discovered a brilliant shop in Brighton selling things made from old/antique metal items! Some tiny for a pound or two, some amazing creations out of bronze, old projectors etc. Loved the antique feathers made into hat pins although believe using feathers on ladies hats was eventually banned and quite right too.
35 local crafts people contribute to the unique range of fantastic goods including a small selection of vintage clothes. They don’t have a web site at the moment but I hope they get one eventually.
The back of the shop has a ‘Healthy Planet’ book shop. Discovered these books are free (up to three per customer) and are donated to the project to avoid ending up in landfill. What a great idea. Took a notebook on numeracy and gave a donation. Some of my unwanted books will get a new home. I think some of the other charities get inundated with books anyway.
The shop is in North Street.
