God forbid, better think again, this is a real one once used for forced labour by prisoners in Mont Louis in the South of France!

DSCF8779Other aspects of this French medieval town way up in the mountains include a church, fountains, cafes and bars.  A garrison town fortified by Vauban, the French military engineer, it was once on the border between France and Spain.

There was even time to light a candle in memory of  loved ones.   I am not religious but I love the architecture of churches and once read that lighting a candle in one is just a way of ‘being in the moment’.
