There were real angels in Hove in George Street the other
day, singing their hearts out for the homeless. Not sure all these dogs spotted around town were really enjoying the last of the Christmas shopping.
Luckily my family Christmas buffet has come and gone. It seemed like a marathon, the shopping and the cooking but they all turned up despite train strikes and things and a great time was had by all. Eureka!
My traditional made up Christmas tree (branches of evergreen) from the garden is holding out. I love fiddling about with all the old odds and ends from years past especially peg doll fairies etc. I hope I can still do it when I am really old and grey!
When it comes to decorations and stocking fillers the Housing Project in Longridge Avenue in Saltdean takes at lot of beating. I swear some of gifts still in original wrappers are unwanted presents from last year. But the ‘Make a cake in a cup’ will be sure to come in handy for one of the grandsons at uni! Well it’s the thought that counts!
The Housing projects money goes on small grants to local projects and they are such a friendly bunch it’s worth a visit. The 27 bus stops a few yards away.
